Exit Device Controls
The LP1000 Series is designed to operate surface-mounted exit devices from the outside using the tailpiece, replacing the key cylinder on new or existing devices. Designed for high-frequency use, this lockset is weather resistant with all-metal construction ideal for outdoor applications. This lockset can be used with many leading brands of surface-mounted (rim-mounted) exit devices; however, they cannot be used with mortise design or most vertical rod devices.
LP Series lock can be used with many leading brands of surface-mounted exit devices
- Weather-resistant; all-mechanical construction; ideal for use outdoors
- Designed for high-frequency use
- Lock comes with a 2 3/4" (70 mm) long tailpiece to operate exit device from the outside
- Exit device can have up to 60° rotation (either direction)
- Installation may require recessing LP1000 thru-bolts on inside of door
- LP1000 may not be used with mortise design, or with most vertical rod devices
- Exit device may be "dogged" without affecting the LP1000
