Note: There are two versions of this lock. You must follow the instructions for your lock

Version 1 has a Push Button AND a Slide Switch for activating the Alternate Code.

Version 2 has only a Push Button for all programming.

Instructions for Version 1  (3 steps)

Step 1 - Clear the lock
  • Lock the knob and place the Slide Switch in the down position.
  • Remove one of the four AAA batteries and then turn and hold the knob for at least 2 seconds.
  • Re-install the battery. The Lock will beep 16 times.
  • Wait 2 minutes before proceeding (do not touch the button or turn the knob!).
Step 2 - Set the Primary Code
  • Turn the Knob, then release when the display shows "0".
  • With the display flashing "0", press and hold the Code Button until a "P" is displayed.
  • Release the Button and promptly turn the Knob to enter the new Primary Code (do not let the display turn off when entering the code).
  • Test the Primary Code. You should get a flashing "0" which means the Primary Code is correct and that the Alternate Code must still be entered.
Step 3 - Set the Alternate Code
  • Place the Code Select Switch in the up position and re-enter the Primary Code. When the flashing "0" appears, press and hold the Code Button until a "P" is displayed.
  • Release the Button and promptly turn the Knob to enter the new Alternate Code (do not let the display turn off).
  • With the Switch up, both codes will work. With the Switch down, only the Primary Code will work.

Instructions for Version 2  (4 steps)

Step 1 - Clear the lock (if you know the existing code, you may go to step 2)
  • Remove one of the four AAA batteries and then press and hold the Code Reset Button for at least 5 seconds.

  • If you are satisfied with the code, press the Code Button to accept. If not, then enter another new code and press the Code Button after the flashback to accept.
Step 3 - Set the Alternate Code:

  • Enter a new Alternate Code and wait for the replay followed by the flashing "A".
  • When you are satisfied with the code, press the Code Button to accept.
  • Once the Alternate code is accepted, the display will begin flashing the Display Speed ("3" if you just cleared the lock).
Step 4 - Set the Display Speed:
  • To increase the display speed increase the number, and to decrease the display speed decrease the number (9 is fastest, 1 is slowest).
  • Once the speed is set, press the Code Button to end the programming.
